Sorry Emma, I know you were not happy that I posted these on facebook, but this is the journal archive and it must be incuded. It is also the end of your trip here and it wasn't your fault anyway.
A few hours prior to departing to the airport, Emma picked Daniel up from work at Disount Tire here in Puyallup. She headed north on Meridian across the south bound lanes that had stopped for her to get out in the suicide lane. Unfortunately there was a truck speeding down that lane that crashed into them, ripping the license plate off the front of the car and carring it 50 feet down the road, and then kept on going. Dan thought they were going to die[I don't know really], but he yelled at her to stop cause he could see them coming, but it was too late. After searches for the missing vehicle that have brought nothing, we have decided to let the insurance company total the car. They will be picking it up on Monday. I will miss this car. It has been a good car for us. It has served us well and I still like the body style. We purchased it 10 years ago in November. I think we owned this car longer than any other car we have had in our married life.
No, Emma, I don't blame you. Most of all I am glad you and Dan were ok and we didn't have to total either of you.

Memorial Day 2009
The sun was shinning, but it was still pretty cold in the back of the convertible.
Charlee, Nick, and Kyla checking out baby Ruth's grave. The greatest story of the day happened here. After James arrived with his children they came over and were looking at the grave with some of us. We were having a conversation with them about who was buried there. It was my little sister, their great aunt and she would have been 50 years old next year. She actually was born dead. We spoke of spirits and bodies and how our spirits left our bodies when death occurs. Then after the bodies are dead we bury them in the ground. Little 3 year old Avery, whose mother just had her new little sister a month prior to this, thought that sounded pretty cool and she couldn't wait for her new sister to die so that they could bury her. Of course she didn't really understand what she was saying. We just made it all sound so wonderful to go back to live with heavenly father and we were all there remembering Ruth, she just thought it would cool to be able to do that with Eden too.

At mountain view cemetart one of the favorite things to do after remembering Ruth, is to check out the other grave stones to see who else we can remember and share with our children and grandchildren.
Grandma and Grandpa Ames at Seabeck
One of the biggest group pictures at Crosby in many years. There was a caretaker there again this year who kindly took pictures for us.
More fun with Emma, Nick, and the babies.
